2009 SCHEDULE

 

March 14-15: Civil War Reenactment. 10 am – 4 pm.

Observance of the Battle of Williamsburg. Living history programs, encampments and battle each day. $7 for the event. Admission to house is included.

May 16-17: Colonial Craftsman’s Faire.

Nationally recognized, traditional artisans will demonstrate and sell their wares. Artisans include a furniture maker, blacksmith, pewtersmith, chairmaker, and more. Call Endview at 757-887-1862, or visit www.colonialfaire.com.

June 13: War of 1812 Reenactment.

Reenactment and living history of the Battle of Hampton during the War of 1812. Times and prices to be announced. Check Endview website (www.endview.org) for details.

June 29-July 2, July 13-16, July 27-30: Civil War Children’s Camp. 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
For boys and girls ages 8-12. Includes camp life, drills, battles and basic soldier’s equipment. Check Endview website (www.endview.org) for price and registration details. Registration and pre-payment required.

June 29-July 2, July 13-16, July 27-30: Miss Sallie’s Academy. 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Aug. 10-13: Officers’ School of Instruction. 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Dec. 3-31. Christmas at Endview.

Visit Endview Plantation and see the greenery and period decorations that brighten the house for the 1861 holidays. Included with regular admission.

Dec. 10-11: St. Nick at Endview. 5-7 p.m.

Toys for Tots program. Let your child experience the magic of an 1861 Christmas with a visit to see St. Nick. Refreshments are provided. Parents are to bring two presents: one wrapped for their child and a new unwrapped present for a needy child. Donated toys will be given to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. $3 per child. Reservations required.
